3rd edition of Morellino del Cuore

After the success of the two previous editions, Morellino del Cuore returns for the third consecutive year, a project born from the collaboration between the Consorzio di Tutela Morellino di Scansano DOCG and the journalists Roberta Perna and Antonio Stelli , with the aim of describing and promoting one of the most representative denominations of Tuscany through an annual selection of labels chosen by industry experts.

On May 29, 2025, at the Consortium headquarters in Scansano, the jury composed of six well-known wine journalists met, called to blind taste 62 samples sent by 30 associated companies. The jury was composed of Elena Erlicher of Civiltà del Bere, Carlo Macchi of Winesurf, Luciano Pignataro of Luciano Pignataro, Alessandra Piubello of Decanter and various magazines, Leonardo Romanelli of Il Gusto di Repubblica, Identità Golose and various magazines, Maurizio Valeriani of Vinodabere, called to select the 10 Morellino del Cuore 2025 , divided into four categories: Annata, Riserva, Intermedio and Vecchia Annata.

New to this new edition is the introduction of the new “Vecchia Annata” category, designed to give space to those wines that, with the passage of time in the bottle, demonstrate the surprising capacity for evolution of Morellino di Scansano, confirming the solidity and versatility of the denomination. In the coming months, Morellino del Cuore 2025 will be the protagonists of three special events in Rome, Milan and Florence , open to both the trade press and enthusiasts.

Evenings dedicated to the knowledge and guided tasting of the ten selected wines, paired with dishes designed to enhance their peculiarities, with the participation of the producers, the Consortium and journalists Roberta Perna and Antonio Stelli. An opportunity to tell the Morellino in a direct and engaging way, focusing on quality, identity and territory.
