Starting Friday, August 1st, aspiring winemakers can sign up for the grape harvest day on Sunday, September 7th. The program includes live music, cellar tours, puppet shows, finger food, and a snack in the wine cellar.
San Pietro di Feletto, July 24, 2025_ Experience the magic of the grape harvest at a time of year when the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore smell not only of ripe grapes, but also of generosity. On Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the rows of vines at the Le Manzane estate in San Pietro di Feletto (Treviso) come alive with the smiles and hardworking hands of the hundreds of aspiring winemakers who participate in the event every year. The ®️Solidarity Harvest, Celebration, and Charity in the Land of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco returns for the fourteenth consecutive year. Registration officially opens on Friday, August 1: anyone wishing to participate can do so by writing to info@lemanzane.it . You don't need to be a vineyard expert, just the pleasure of coming together for a good cause.
This year, solidarity takes an even bigger leap. After reaching many Italian communities, the ®️Solidarity Harvest is now reaching Africa, specifically Ghana, where the proceeds from the initiative will entirely fund the construction of a school. This concrete project is managed by the "In My Father's House" mission, founded by Comboni missionary Father Giuseppe Rabbiosi, better known as Father Peppino. For over 50 years, he has worked to give thousands of children a future through education, healthcare, and local development.
"The 2025 edition," explains Ernesto Balbinot, owner of Le Manzane winery, who, together with his wife Silvana and children Marco and Anna, organizes the annual ®️Vendemmia Solidale (Solidarity Harvest), "will open with a moment full of meaning: the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new "Solidarity Vineyard" will take place at 9:30 a.m. Making this inauguration even more special will be the people who have walked with us in past ®️Vendemmia Solidale editions. In this vineyard, each row will be named after an edition of ®️Vendemmia Solidale: the first will represent the first edition, the second the second, and so on. A symbolic gesture that tells the story of a journey of shared growth, in which each year has left its mark. Together, the rows become a tangible and living testimony to a commitment that continues over time."
"The vineyard," Balbinot continues, "is open to visitors, and our tours, which started small, are growing with enthusiasm. We now welcome almost one group a day, sometimes even more. This is a concrete sign of the human value we want to convey through our winery, which has always combined wine with solidarity and inclusion."
Last November, Ernesto and Anna personally visited the village of Father Peppino, the Comboni missionary who founded "In My Father's House," helping to donate two minibuses to transport children between schools and hospitals. "We saw with our own eyes," they said, "that every penny is transformed into something useful and necessary, and we came away enriched from this experience. This is why we decided to help Father Peppino, also because, to paraphrase his words, education is the key to escaping poverty."
Throughout the day, there will be live music, winery tours, puppet shows, and other surprises. Also performing will be Riflesso di Ferrara, already known to the public for their participation in "The Band" on Rai 1. And then, before lunch, a sumptuous aperitif featuring Le Manzane Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, seafood finger foods from Ca' del Poggio, premium cheeses from Latteria Perenzin, and even a special Spritz Challenge - To Be Happy Edition in collaboration with Distilleria Fratelli Brunello, to crown the Ambassador of Smiles. Because laughter is good for you. And if you do it for a good cause, even more so.
The participation fee is 25 euros for adults and 10 euros for children aged 3 to 12.
