This year too, the LoST EU project has reconfirmed itself as one of the protagonists of the sixteenth edition of the Collisioni Festival in Alba on 5, 6, 7 and 13 July to spread its sustainability messages to the young and very young audience of the event, protection of the landscape and food well-being to the over 40,000 spectators who came from all Italian regions for the four evenings of the most followed music festival in Piedmont.
A festival that wanted to put environmental protection and the problem of climate change at the center, also through innovative public awareness campaigns and a huge organizational effort to guarantee separate waste collection which involved hundreds of volunteers, developing the theme of protection of the environment and consumer health also thanks to the partnership with Lost, and its programmatic points relating to animal and human well-being, the conservation of the landscape and short agricultural supply chains.
During the event the Lost project had various visibility spaces available: from the totems in the Festival area, to the promotional corner in the hospitality area, to the dedicated video which was projected on the mega screen of the Collisioni stage in the shows area, to tell the story of characteristics and unique qualities of the basket of DOP cheeses from all Italian regions promoted by the Lost project.
Furthermore, interviews, videos and social activities were carried out during the days of the event, as well as questionnaires to the public of the event which focused on the theme of food awareness, the concept of quality of food products, and the standards that Europe should strive to concretely express those values of traceability and respect for the food supply chains that distinguish it and must become a common value and element of belonging in which all European citizens can identify.
The protagonists of the promotional activities are the eight PDOs from the LoST basket: Murazzano, Roccaverano, Ossolano from Piedmont, Puzzone di Moena from Trentino, Strachitunt from Lombardy, Vastedda della Valle del Belice and Pecorino Siciliano from Sicily, Provolone del Monaco from Campania.
After the appointment at the festival in July, the LoST Eu project will continue from September with a rich calendar of events in Italy and abroad , such as participation in the Salone del Gusto in Turin, the incoming of operators and distributors to Piedmont Swedish, and with foreign missions in Germany and Sweden which will involve food market professionals and restaurateurs, to create weeks dedicated to the Lost PDO basket in some of the most renowned stores in the capitals of Sweden and Germany.
