Italian White Wine Falerio

Organoleptic characteristics: The Falerio wine has a more or less pale straw yellow color. Its aroma is slightly fragrant and its taste is dry, full, harmonious, slightly sour. Historical-cultural information and curiosities: The history of this wine dates back to the Roman period. The name Falerio derives exactly from the Roman city Faleria, now known by the name of Falerone. Serving suggestions: Great match for seafood and dishes of vegetables, such as zucchini and aubergine. It is the classic companion of the typical Ascolane stuffed olives. Production area: The province of Ascoli Piceno and Fermo (excluding a portion of land not suitable for viticulture). Grape varieties allowed for its production: Trebbiano Toscano (20-50%), Passerina (10-30%), Pecorino (10-30%); Up to a maximum of 20%, other white berry grape varieties suitable for cultivation in the Marche region can contribute to the production, alone or in combination.
