Italian Sparkling Wine Trento Doc

Organoleptic characteristics: This wine shows a more or less intense yellow color, it has a characteristic aroma, with a delicate hint of yeast, and in the mouth it is lively, harmonious, from brut nature to sweet. Historical-cultural infos and curiosities: In Trentino, viticulture has been present since ancient times (many finds go back to the Bronze Age) and was handed down from age to age, from culture to culture, through the Roman Empire to the Middle Ages, then to come to our days. Not only the cultivation of vines, but also the production of wines has been, and is still today, a source of support for many families and hub of the economic activity in the region. The production of sparkling wine began in the early years of the twentieth century, and has never stopped, so, after the "Trentino" denomination, the DOC Trento was recognized, reserved exclusively to the sparkling wine obtained by the method of second fermentation in the bottle. Serving suggestions: The Trento DOC wine is excellent with dishes based on fish, with dishes that are not very elaborated, or as an aperitif. Production area: Territories in the province of Trento. Production techniques: To the basic quiet wine selected sugars and yeasts are added. Then, the bottling and a second fermentation take place, followed by the rest on the yeast, the elimination of residues, the dosage and finally the capping. Grape varieties that are allowed to produce it: Chardonnay and/or Pinot bianco and/or Pinot Noir and/or Meunier.
