The sparkling wine tradition is not own of the southern regions, but in recent years even their productions are finding interesting business opportunities. In Sicily, in addition to the international vines, Inzolia, Grecanico, Grillo and Cataratto are grown for the production of sparkling wine. In Pantelleria and in Noto the sparkling wines are produced with Moscato grapes.
