The vine variety is Lambrusco Maestri. Implanted mainly in lowland areas (created by the imagination of a farmer from Valera: Luigi Maestri, lower Parma) because of its resistance to moisture, mold, and also for its generous productivity, it has also revealed itself a great hill wine. Here, where the fertility is much lower and there is no possibility to water, it is trained with Guyot system with very strict pruning (only 7/10 buds for item with fruit) and produces a little, but the results in terms of quality are amazing. A full–bodied wine with good structure, substantial alcohol content (12% – 13%), and quite different from all other wines is produced. Also great with aging.
