Description of the wine: This wine is probably a version of Oltrepò Pavese red wine. It is a vibrant, sweet and balanced wine with aromas of jam and flowers. Organoleptic characteristics: Sangue di Giuda presents a ruby ​​red color, it has a winey and intense aroma and in the mouth it is full-bodied and sweet, sometimes lively and slightly tannic. Historical-cultural infos and curiosities: A legend tells that Judas, once dead, repented of having betrayed Jesus, who decided to forgive him. Therefore, Judas was resurrected in Broni, in the Oltrepò Pavese area. The citizens of the country, however, recognizing him, decided to kill him. Judas, to stop them, made the vineyards heal from the terrible diseases that afflicted them in that time. So it was that the local people named their wine after Judas. Sangue di Giuda is one of the more difficult wines to produce, because the best characteristics of each grape variety must be seized and merged together to produce a balanced wine. Serving suggestions: Sangue di Giuda is a dessert wine: it is very good with pastries with fruit or jam. Excellent also with spicy cheese. Production area: Oltrepò Pavese, in the province of Pavia.
