Viognier

White grape variety native to the Rhone Valley and from there spread to other areas of the South of France, very resistant to drought.

The deep yellow grapes produce wines whose body ranges from medium to medium–full and of pale yellow to golden yellow colour. They are also some of the most aromatic and elegantly scented (peach and dry apricot) wines in the world.
The variety is grown also in California and Australia. This white grape variety of the Northern Rhone is becoming increasingly popular in California.
