Trebbiano

It is a white grape variety belonging to the large family of Trebbiano, very common in central and northern Italy. Due to its high productivity and good resistance to disease, Trebbiano still abounds in the Italian vineyards, but also in the French ones, so that it is the most cultivated grape in the world. There are many varieties of Trebbiano: Trebbiano di Soave, Giallo, Romagnolo, d’Abruzzo and Toscano. It is a grape used in the composition of Chianti. Pure, it produces wines of straw yellow colour with greenish reflections, at the nose it has an intense and enveloping scent, and a fresh flavour with notes of almond.
