Traminer

Of Asian origin, today it is famous mainly for its "half–brother", Gewurztraminer, it has great reputation in France, Germany, Austria and California. It is a variety grown mainly in Trentino Alto Adige and Friuli Venezia Giulia. There are two types: rosé and red Traminer. The wine is vinified in single variety resulting in rich wines with a scent reminiscent of spices and candied fruit and with a sweet and aromatic flavour. The wine goes well with dishes of shellfish or seafood.
