Sangiovese di Romagna

Sangiovese is an autochthonous vine of Romagna; on the origins of its name various hypotheses were formulated, including the most established, according to which it derives from Monte Giove, the hill located in Sant’Angelo di Romagna. From its berries, once vinified, a wine with a ruby red colour with violet hues is obtained; the taste is dry, slightly tannic and vinous, with slightly bitter notes in the aftertaste. At the smell it offers the aromas typical of its land by invoking that of cherries, violas and violets.
