Ribolla

Ancient Friulian vine native of white grape, recently re–evaluated and included as part of the Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC. Already appreciated in the twelfth century, it is thought that it was imported by the Romans in Friuli and results from the Avola grapes. From Ribolla grapes vinified in single variety a fresh wine with an always lively acidity, delicate flavour and the characteristic fruity aroma is made. The wines made from this grape are: Colli Orientali del Friuli and Collio Goriziano. It is perfect with raw fish appetizers, fish dishes with sauces, dishes based on mushrooms and soups.
