Organic wines are fermented from grapes grown without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. However, like all wines, organic wines contain sulfites, since a small amount is produced naturally during fermentation. The rules and methods to produce organic grapes and wine depend on the country of origin and by the body responsible for certification.
