Marsanne

A native of the high Rhone, it is a white grape variety widely grown in France. In Italy, where it seems to have been introduced by the Napoleon’s troops, it is grown mainly in Tuscany and in the Province of Piacenza. The wine that is made from it is characterized by a flavour reminiscent of almonds; moreover, it is a full–bodied and harmonious wine.
