Chenin Blanc

Chenin Blanc is a white grape variety, native of Anjou in France. It is thought that Chenin Blanc was obtained, in the IX century, by Chenin Noir. From Chenin Blanc fresh, medium–bodied, moderately alcoholic and of medium–high to high alcohol content are obtained; they are very fragrant, with aromas reminiscent of honey, damp straw, smoke and wet wool. The characteristic taste recalls the ripe apple, pear, peach and soft honeyed notes. Moreover, high quality Chenin Blanc can have a long and persistent flavour of sweet fruit.
