Champagne

Champagne is a French sparkling wine, grown in the Champagne region, known throughout the world and that has always been associated with the concepts of luxury and celebration. Champagne is one of the few wines to which an inventor is recognized: the Benedictine abbot Dom Pierre Pérignon, although there are several versions of its origin. Champagne, despite being a white wine, can also be obtained from black grapes, including Pinot Noir (thus assuming the denomination of Champagne blanc de noirs). The colour of Champagne is typically white, and sometimes rosé.
