Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is certainly one of the most famous wines in the world for quality and longevity. The grape variety comes from Bordeaux and is probably the "Biturca" grape variety described by Columella and Pliny already in Roman times. In 1875 Secondat Montesquieu, son of the famous French philosopher, called the Cabernet Sauvignon "perfect vine". Its aroma reminds of the smell of blueberry, sour cherry and currants; high acidity characterizes the taste of this wine, which has a fairly high alcohol content.
