In the small village of Saint Pierre, the Bregy & Gillioz company is working a vineyard of three hectares with a single grape variety: the petit arvine. From this beautiful vineyard a unique wine is produced: the Refrence.
Les Crêtes wine company was founded in 1989 in Aymavilles (Valle d’Aosta), thanks to the work of Costantino Charre, and today is run by his family, who owns a historic water mill of the eighteenth century and the ancient wine cellars of Via Moulins, and has been responsible for five generations for agro–food products. The area of cultivation of vineyards covers 25 hectares along the orographic axis of Dora Baltea in the municipalities of Saint Pierre, Aymavilles, Gressan, Sarre, Aosta and Saint Christophe.
The production area, which originated in a difficult mountain territory, is characterized by fragmentation of vineyards and high density of planting (8,000–9,000 feet/ha) due to the slope of the land, whose moraine and sandy soils are ideal for the cultivation of numerous native and international varieties.
La Kiuva is a winery that also operates as a restaurant, serving authentic regional cuisine. Their focus is on traditional dishes and local produce, perfectly complemented by their own wines. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make for an enjoyable dining experience.
