Donnardea

Azienda Vitivinicola Donnardea is located in a beautiful corner of the territory of Lazio, 20 km from Rome. In the heart of the Roman countryside, Nature itself has created a landscape capable of amazing for its variety, its colors and its most precious treasure: WINE.

Vineyards as gardens and gardens that anticipate vineyards, in the hilly – almost rhythmic – landscape around Donnardea that alternates vineyards on rolling hills and lush ditches, among luxuriant forests of centuries–old cork trees. And then, again hills and vineyards ...

The lands of Donnardea are historically suited to viticulture and extend over an area of ​​about 80 hectares. The conformity of the soil is of volcanic origin, characterized mainly by potassium, phosphorous and calcium, which contribute to a good agronomic fertility and freshness of the fund.

Casale Marchese

The Casale Marchese farm, with an area of ​​over 50 hectares devoted mostly to the cultivation of vines, located in the heart of the Frascati DOC and overlooks one of the most beautiful landscapes of Rome and the Tuscolano district, where vineyards alternate with olive trees. The soil is of volcanic origin, ideal for this type of culture, thanks also to the hilly soil.

The grapevine has always been cultivated in this area. Marco Porzio Catone, said "Il Censore", a distinguished citizen of Tuscolano of 230 BC, advised to plant in these lands because it was an "optima loco". Therefore, one of the first places in the world where our wine was produced. The Frascati DOC is produced in the hills surrounding Rome, the area known as "Castelli Romani". The territory is located under Mount Tuscolo, where once the town of Tusculum and the town of Frascati from which the designation of origin is named.

The cultivation techniques, adopted in the company, comply fully with the principles of viticulture of superior quality, respecting the environment and the society. The vineyards of Casale Marchese are grown, in large part, with spurred cordon method, with high density of plants per hectare (4,000–5,000) and short pruning; it allows us to better concentrate the chemical–physical characteristics of quality products, in the few clusters per plant (1.5–2kg).

Furthermore, the management of the crop is done by following the rules of integrated production, with the exclusive use of products with low environmental impact.

The variety of the vineyards of Casale Marchese are those that are traditionally used for the production of Frascati wine: Malvasia Puntinata, Malvasia di Candia, Trebbiano Toscano, Greco, Bombino, Bellone. Recently, international varieties like Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc have been planted.

Poggio Le Volpi

The Company Poggio Le Volpi was founded in the 90s by the brilliant idea of Felice Mergè.

The young oenologist, son of Armando Mergè, represents the third generation of a family strain that has Mario Mergè as founder, who in the 20s began his working business engaging mainly in wine and olive growing and marketing of products.

At the numerous second generation he handed down his experiences of living and working that gained new vigor and is completed, finally, in the bold initiative of his nephew Felice, well supported by the concrete and active impulse of his father Armando.

It was founded, in this way, Poggio Le Volpi, with a picture of a very high level for the quality and sophistication of its wines, which are precious gems that ennoble the pedigree of the company and which have earned appreciations in the refined and exclusive context of wines of niche.

Tenuta Tre Cancelli

The vineyards, which provide 100% of the grapes vinified and bottled wine are grown in Trebbiano, Malvasia, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Vermentino Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Merlot and Cabernet. With fifty years of experience and work of the first generation of the De Rinaldis family, in 2001 opens the winery Tenuta Tre Cancelli and Liborio, the management of the company's son, takes over. Since 2010 Silvio works in the business management. He shares with his partner Liborio the passion for the art of making wine.
Tenuta Tre Cancelli has received numerous awards, including the Calix Aureus Lituo for 2002, 2004 and 2007 and a diploma of merit for the other labels, both obtained in the selection of wines from Latium 2004.

Tenuta le Quinte

Tenuta Le Quinte is located in the Montecompatri district named "Le Marmorelle", in the heart of the Roman Castles and are of very old viticulture and wine making tradition. Cicero used to call it "the area which makes the wine Ron.e drinks". The vineyards, all duly registered, find in an excellent sunny exposure and are planted in the position of light sloped ground mainly of volcanic origin. The Firm is dominated by the old country family house dating back to '600, built on the ancient Roman Caligola villa foundations.

Le Rose

Azienda Agricola Le Rose was founded in 2003 by a passion for the products of the land. In a small holding in front of the sea, situated between the Castelli Romani hills, among tradition, the geological past of the land and the pursuit of quality, grape varieties that could enrich and renew those already present in the Castelli Romani area have been identified.

Formiconi

The company has all the elements to create an excellent product: the brilliant location of the vineyards in the territory of Affile, the exclusive cultivation of the native grape variety, the application of the most modern techniques of land and the advice of an experienced team of agronomists, a winery in which the complex technology of the machinery is flanked by the wisdom and the experience of more than 60 years of family tradition.

Franco Caporilli

Villa Simone

Villa Simone is located in Monteporzio Catone, less than an hour from the center of Rome, and was created in 1982 in the wake of a very ancient family tradition; today can be undoubtedly considered one of the best established wine companies in the entire region.

Twenty–seven hectares of property, grown with care and respect for nature, represent the foundation of a wine production that now exceeds 300,000 bottles per year, divided into six categories.

Gotto d'oro

Founded in 1945, Gotto D'oro was the first winegrowers' association in Castelli Romani. This generous land that lies to the south of Rome preserves an ancient winemaking tradition that has been rooted there since the Roman Age, which was also the inspiration for the name Gotto: from the Latin guttus, a large sized glass, and by extension the wine it contained.
The Frattocchie premises are the centre of all operations of transformation, vinification and bottling of Frascati, Marino and Castelli Romani D.O.P. wines, from grapes supplied by more than 400 associated winegrowers. The fully automated production lines consist of modern, functional and technologically advanced systems with a potential of more than 200.000 hectolitres of wine, ensuring optimisation of the phases and guaranteeing respect for the organoleptic and qualitative characteristics of the wine produced.
Gotto d'oro today is a modern and efficient organisation which annually produces and markets 10 million bottles of wine. Its positioning is therefore highly prestigious, among the 20 leading companies in the sector at national level.

Colle Picchioni Paola di Mauro

This ancient hill of the Roman Hills has been producing some of the best wines of the area since 1974.
