PRICE INCREASE STOPPED FOR A YEAR DESPITE COST BOOM.

This is according to Sandro Bottega, entrepreneur and head of Bottega S.p.A., a historic Veneto winery that exports Prosecco to over 150 countries worldwide . Ursula von der Leyen announced that gas prices have soared 140% since the end of February and that the energy crisis could worsen in the winter. In this extremely difficult context, the Veneto-based company is trying to reach out to consumers. Bottega adds: "We have decided that to support our customers, we will not raise any of the prices of our wines and spirits in 2027 either. For example, our best-known product, Prosecco DOC Bottega Gold, will maintain its current average retail price of €21.90 for both the final months of 2026 and 2027. The same pricing policy will apply to all our products, including the Bottega Rose Gold sparkling wine made from Pinot Noir grapes (current price of €21.90, also confirmed for 2027)." "The biggest increase comes from transportation and glass costs, which are affected by fuel prices. However, thanks also to the use of renewable energy, Bottega spa is managing to contain internal energy costs, both for air conditioning and, above all, for the proper fermentation of its sparkling wines," concludes Sandro Bottega, leader of Bottega spa, the leading Veneto-based company in the production of Prosecco .
