A great signature on the mixology scene: the Collins is a sacred cocktail, whose recipe dates back to the distant 1800s.

A family, that of the Collins, made up of drinks made directly in the glass with distillate, lime or lemon juice, sugar syrup and soda. What differentiates them is the type of gin used in the preparation: this is what distinguishes, for example, the iconic John Collins and Tom Collins. The recipe we propose today is based on Tabar Gin , the flagship of the Casoni distillery : a gin with a strong sip obtained from the infusion of 9 local botanicals, among which juniper stands out.

And here is the very fresh Tabar Collins !

Ingredients:

60 ml of Classic Tabar Gin

30 ml of fresh lemon juice

15 ml of sugar syrup

a splash of soda/carbonated water

ice cubes

Garnish: lemon slice

Glass : highball

Preparation:

To begin, fill the highball with ice cubes up to three-quarters of the way up the glass.

Afterwards, add 60 ml of Gin Tabar Classico.

Then, gently pour 30ml of fresh lemon juice over the gin and add 15ml of sugar syrup.

Gently mix the ingredients in the glass with a bar spoon to blend the flavors well.

At this point, add a splash of soda or carbonated water to give the cocktail a kick

Finally, garnish the cocktail with a slice of lemon on the edge.

Enjoy your iced Tabar Collins now!
