Now in its second edition, the Convivium Design competition 2014, a prize created by Wine&Thecity and Pastificio dei Campi for creative young people

The Convivium Design National Prize is an initiative dedicated to creative young people that wants to reward the best ideas and the best design projects dedicated to the world of food and wine.

The works can regard all the design solutions related to the needs and to the rituals of consumption of food and wine and may include tools for the table such as plates and trays, containers such as glasses and baskets and other accessories such as trolleys and decanters. Participants will also have the opportunity to include in their own original creations even foods themselves.

The idea that inspires and gives life to the initiative is precisely that of the convivium, the communicative moment during which people socialize taking a break from the stress of the everyday life meeting again with family and friends in a casual atmosphere, but not without a cultural intention, where the protagonists are food and wine.

The competition is open to under 40 creative people who are studying or practicing a profession related to the design world. The candidates can participate both as individuals and in teams. Who wants to sign up can do it by April 28th, 2014, by sending an e–mail to: premio@wineandthecity.it .

The projects may be submitted by May 5th, 2014.

The award ceremony will take place during the Wine&Thecity event to be held in Naples, from May 20th to 24th, 2014.

Created and promoted by Wine&Thecity with Pastificio dei Campi, under the scientific direction of Salvatore Cozzolino and the sponsorship of the Campania Industrial Design Association (ADI)
