From 8 to 20 September gastronomic specialties, shows and the traditional appointment with Bacco & Bacalà. Weekend dedicated to naturalistic excursions on foot, by bike and by kayak.

The festival includes a rich gastronomic proposal, with tastings of bacalà and polenta alongside a different specialty every day, as well as cultural, sporting and folkloristic initiatives. The program runs from Wednesday 8 to Sunday 12 September and from Wednesday 15 to Monday 20 September.
The protagonist will be the main dish of Vicenza cuisine declined according to tradition and creativity. Among the chefs' interpretations there will be lasagnette au gratin with bacalà, bigoli al torcio, risotto, potato gnocchi and half-moons stuffed with creamed bacalà. To accompany the courses, the wines of the Beato Bartolomeo da Breganze and IoMazzucato companies , partners of the initiative. This edition pays more attention to the environmental theme, with the use of strictly compostable cutlery, plates, glasses and take-away packaging.
During the weekend, space for live music in Piazza Garibaldi: on Friday 10 September the Heart Elisa Tribute Band will perform, on Saturday 11 it will be the turn of Acoustic Mood, on Friday 17 the 9.0 Unplugged will play, while on Saturday 18 September the Acoustic Show group will take the stage .
The important novelty of the 34th edition of the Festival consists of the weekends under the banner of bacalà : in the weekends of September and October, in fact, walks, bicycle tours and kayak excursions along the Astico will be organized, to discover the flora and of the local fauna. Visits to villas, oratories and villages will alternate with food and wine experiences in the restaurants and wineries that are partner of the initiative.
The ritual appointment is Bacco & Bacalà , the 7th edition of the wine tasting counter that hosts the products of the local wineries. The event, organized in collaboration with AIS Veneto , will welcome the public on Sunday 12 September in the park of the elegant Villa Mascotto in Ancignano, a hamlet of Sandrigo.
The program of the Bacalà Festival is completed with the market of artisan products, the exhibition in the Oratory, shows and culinary delights designed for the little ones.
“The obstinacy and courage that last year allowed us to organize the most complex edition in the history of the Festival, with excellent results - says Antonio Chemello , President of Pro Sandrigo - have filled us with confidence for 2021. We have attention to every technical detail, the number and quality of appointments for this edition has been expanded because we believe in the relationships between people and the territory. The difficult period we have gone through and which we continue to live has highlighted even more the social importance of initiatives like ours. Furthermore, events such as the Bacalà Festival attract an audience that comes mainly from outside the region, an important added value for the promotion of our territory ".
This year the Italian-Norwegian Days also occur, as evidence of the twinning with the island of Røst, where Pietro Querini was shipwrecked in 1432. It was precisely in the Lofoten atoll that the Venetian navigator discovered the stockfish, bringing a load home from which was then born the traditional preparation. A Norwegian delegation will visit the Sandrigo twins on the occasion of the investiture ceremony of the new brothers , scheduled for Sunday 19 September , which will be held behind closed doors due to Covid.
The Pro Loco Sandrigo, with the patronage of the Municipality of Sandrigo, has planned the event in order to ensure the safety of the entire event. As established by the DPCM of 23 July 2021, it will be possible to access the food stand and the shows through exhibition and control of the GREEN PASS . A quick buffer point will be active outside the tensile structures to allow those without one to still access the Festival. To protect the safety of visitors as much as possible, Pro Sandrigo has also arranged for all the staff and volunteers who work within the structure to be in possession of the green certificate.
