The Castle of Costigliole d’Asti hosts the “Di Vigna in Vignetta” exhibition organized by the Women of Wine from Piedmont to celebrate the twenty–fifth year of the association.

The exhibition of the Women of Wine of Piedmont

The inauguration was attended by the mayor of Costigliole Giovanni Borriero, and by the assessor Filippo Romagnolo. Great satisfaction for the Piedmontese delegate of Women of Wine Francesca Poggio for the important milestone achieved by the association, a year away from the quarter–century of the national association. Francesca Poggio recalled the many appointments that, until June 29th, will accompany the event which has in the exhibition its leitmotif: tasting tables, sensory journeys among their labels, secuar confessions across several generations of women producers and events that will gather in Costigliole the best food bloggers in Italy.

The plates that make up the “Di Vigna in Vignetta” exhibition belonged to Buonassisi and now are owned by the Women of Wine in Piedmont. «Buonassisi is the true protagonist – the journalist Cesare Pillone said – and the unforgettable collector of this portfolio that represents a considerable Heritage of humorous art, all this created by friendship and by the convivial encounter of good humor, good taste and good food: friendliness and affection were, along with the ability to get on very well with people and with the environment, the main features of Vincenzo Buonassisi, with an uncommon charge of sympathy».

One hundred are the paintings by famous artists belonging to the private collection of Vincent Buonassisi, journalist, pioneer of wine television, a man of culture and entertainment, dead ten years ago.

25 years of Women of Wine of Piedmont

Maria Cristina Ascheri, national vice president of the Women of Wine, has retraced the 25 years of Piedmont starting from the founding of La Morra in January 1989. Years full of commitment and important personalities that have succeeded at the head of the subalpine delegation.
