The fifth edition of Vinifera, the Market Exhibition dedicated to wines and foods from the Alpine area on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 March 2023 at Trento Fiere, is approaching. The Forum, entitled Cultivating the Alpine Arc, precedes the event and presents a rich program of events, tastings and masterclasses that will enliven the city and the province of Trento starting from 24 February.
The first appointment will be Goblets , at 6.30 pm on Friday 24 February at the Bellaveder farm in Faedo: twenty illustrators immersed in the Trentino vineyards will discover the identities of the Independent Winegrowers, the traditions and the beauties of the area. Viticulture, associations and the art of illustration intertwine for one evening in a live performance featuring the artists of the Yoonik collective. The event, free upon reservation, with the first free glass, will also take place in case of rain.
The following meetings will be Una Valle di NON | Honeys and not honeys, wines and not wines , Sunday 26 February at 4.00 pm at Mieli Thun, in Vigo di Ton. On Saturday 4 March at 19.00, at La Foresta – Community Academy of Rovereto, “Profondo Rosspach” , a magazine published by the Rosspach Valley Association, will be presented, followed by the screening, at 20.30, of the documentary “The food rebels” , winner of the EUSALP award at the Trento Film Festival. Agroecological transition, community transformation and intergenerational dialogue will be at the center of the debate scheduled for Tuesday 7 March at 19.00 at the Café de la Paix in Trento. On Thursday 9 March, at 19.00, the tasting of Vini in amphora will be held at Tava srl in Mori: free discussion on the reasons for a choice . In pouring the wines of the winemakers Rosi Eugenio, Azienda Agricola Foradori, Tröpfltalhof, Azienda Agricola Sette and the alchemical barrel tests of the oenologist Matteo Marzari. Bread is culture. Telling the world through food , the presentation of the magazine “L'Integrale – Rivista di pane e cultura” , edited by Davide Longoni, will be held at 19.00 on Tuesday 14 March at Bar Loco's in Rovereto. Saturday 18 March, at 3.00 pm, in Cembra Cantina di Montagna (Cembra Lisignago) it will be possible to participate in Coltivare terraces , a trekking itinerary through the vineyards of the Val di Cembra, followed by a tasting of local food and wine products. The last appointment, entitled The Alps under your feet: a chat about travel, vineyards and dreams while waiting for the Market Exhibition , will be held on Friday 24 March, at 7.00 pm, at the Martinelli di Mezzocorona farm, and will see the participation of anthropologist Annibale Salsa.
To enrich the program of the Mostra Mercato, the masterclasses are back as usual, which will be held in the halls of the Muse - Science Museum of Trento. Saturday 25 March Piwi Trentino, in collaboration with Civit, offers the tasting The wines to come: microvinifications, barrel tests and new bottlings . From the wines of the Calabrian Apennines to the cuisine of Sichuan , the appointment on Sunday 26 March at 11.00 will address the unexpected pairing between the tenacious personality of the wines of the Calabrian mountains and the spicy and deep notes of the Sichuan dishes. Leading this process of discussion and tasting is Matteo Gallello at the bottles and Alessia Morabito at the stove. Paid event (10 euros), by reservation. At 2.30 pm Siro, la Sassella, i Terrazzi Alti will be held, where we will talk about vines, wine, Sassella and Valtellina, tasting 6 vintages of Valtellina Superiore Terrazzi Alti with Matteo Gallello accompanied by the stories of Siro Buzzetti. On Monday 27 March at 11.00 the Association of Public Exercises of Trentino, in collaboration with Seac Cefor and the online wine shop Enovely, presents Alpine wine experience , an itinerary to discover the value and characteristics of the wines of the Alps. At 12.00 Alfio Ghezzi, chef and patron of the Senso al Mart restaurant in Rovereto, awarded a star in the Michelin Guide Italy 2023, will propose The kitchen through , three scales of reading the landscape: Biome, Local, Pedological . The wines paired with the tastings suggested by Alfio Ghezzi are selected by AIS Trentino. Free event, by reservation.
The last appointment, at 2.30 pm, entitled Heroic wines from the heart of the Alps, history of men and vineyards. Valsusa, emotions to drink , will consist of an audiovisual exhibition on Valsusa, presentation of the book Valsusa, emotions to drink and tasting of a glass of Avanà Valsusa Doc, in collaboration with Proposta Vini, Il Graffio Editore and La Chimera Viticoltura Eroica.
