Cantina Produttori Cormòns made a special harvest in the Vineyard of the World alongside students of the United World College: both are thirty years old and gather together the grapes for the “Wine of Peace”.

What is the Vineyard of the World?

855 grape varieties from all over the world from which the “Wine of Peace” is obtained

The Vineyard of the World is an initiative created thirty years ago as a symbol of unity and brotherhood among the nations. Different grape varieties are rooted in the same ground, grow, are fed and offer their fruits.

From the grapes picked in the Vineyard of the World, a wine of high symbolic value is obtained, made even more precious by the labels designed by world-renowned artists: Baj, Rauschenberg, Tomato, Shafik, Botero.

The Harvest in the Vineyard of the World

Even this year the harvest has seen the special participation of the students of the United World College in Duino from over 80 countries.

The United World College and Cantina Produttori Cormòns have shown in this way their common hope for a future of peace, united since the 80s.

The three decades of the “Wine of Peace” and of the United World College

The great harvest feast celebrates in a special way the thirty years of the “Wine of Peace” and the 30 years of the College.

“To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the College - announced Alberto Pisani, Head of Press Office of the College - one of the three bottles of the 2012 harvest, which will be presented in early 2014, will be devoted to the United World College and the label will be enriched with a poem by Arrigo Levi, Lifetime Patron of our institution”.

“The Wine of Solidarity is an important project that all of us of Cantina Produttori Cormòns have in our hearts ? Giuseppe Soini, commercial director of the Cantina Produttori Cormòns, concludes ? In effect with this project we not only contribute to the dissemination of the work done by ANFFAS, but we also help concretely the Association by providing 500 bottles of wine produced, which then will be devolved to a collection of charities to support the activities of the Day Centre”.
