The Fuoriclasse 2025 Award ceremony was held on Saturday evening at the Distilleria Castagner in Vazzola (TV).
The award was created in 2006 by Roberto Castagner and rewards people who, with talent, passion and willpower, are capable of leaving a mark on society. From art to communication, from fashion to catering, from entrepreneurship to sport, through scientific research: each year the jury identifies a specific award category, then goes on to search for a figure who represents the maximum expression of that sector, for what they have done in the past and for what they continue to do today. The roll of honor of the award includes names such as Anna Fendi, Bruno Vespa, Giovanni Rana, Virna Lisi, Carlo Rubbia, Marcello Lippi, Piero Angela, up to the entrepreneur Gianfranco Zoppas who received the award last year.
This year the Committee's choice was oriented towards the world of cinematographic art, where the actress and director Valeria Golino stands out undisputedly, awarded for her great national and international career, as well as for her ability to interpret a complex variety of roles, often controversial, always managing to capture the essence of her characters. A career that she has been able to grow and evolve, moving from actress to director, and which still sees her committed to telling unique and precious stories ; this is the case of the miniseries "The art of joy" based on the book by Goliarda Sapienza, a long-unknown writer who was a diction teacher to the very young Valeria Golino, when she was taking her first steps in the world of cinema.
“A great artist, unique in talent and passion, whose ability to create emotions we particularly appreciate,” explained Roberto Castagner in presenting her the award together with his partner Bernardo Piazza and his friend Alberto Barbera, Director of the Venice Film Festival, who has known the talent of the Neapolitan actress and director since the 1980s. “Fuoriclasse for me literally means “out of class” - commented a moved Golino upon receiving the award - understood as always having your head a little elsewhere, beyond. An attitude that also leads to taking risks, to going beyond what you are, to become what you want.”
The evening ended with a call to responsible drinking . Roberto Castagner, who has long been involved in a campaign to promote “true responsible drinking,” made a corner available to guests with breathalyzers for alcohol testing before getting behind the wheel : “my best gift for the evening is to send you home safe and sound.”
