The Marchesi Frescobaldi Company officially enters the family of partners of the Niko Romito Academy , enriching the bouquet of offers, training and experiences of the students of the Niko Romito Group's advanced cooking training school. Marchesi Frescobaldi , a model company with centuries-old roots in Tuscan wine production, has been producing wines in Tuscany for over seven hundred years and has established relationships over the centuries with the main European Courts, the Court of England and many Popes.

The partnership will allow Academy students to delve deeper into the world of wine with specific and specialized training modules included in the course program. Training courses with a focus on the history of vines and wine , production systems and techniques, viticulture areas and territories . Each student will have the opportunity to live unique sensory experiences, visit the Marchesi Frescobaldi estates and discover the richness of the world of wine in relation to cuisine. During the dedicated workshops we will delve into the world of food\wine pairing , pairing styles, the construction of a wine list and the use of wine and alcoholic components in cooking.

With the presence of Marchesi Frescobaldi, the training of Niko Romito Academy students will be even richer and more varied, full of history, planning and sensitivity to the environment and society.

“I have always strongly believed in the value of training and the sharing of knowledge”these are the words of Niko Romito, who adds - “Today it is increasingly essential to transfer content to the younger generations and put as many people as possible in a position to learn. The role of the Academy that I founded - and in which I have invested some of my best energies, enjoying a fruitful and stimulating exchange with all the students we have trained - has a strong connotation of social responsibility. The more you study and learn from books and in the field in all branches, the more chances you have of finding the right position in the world of work. For this reason, the learning path of the Niko Romito Academy touches on different disciplines that are profoundly related to food. The world of wine, for example. From the agricultural supply chain to production, from the specific peculiarities of each bottle to the management of the cellar, from the identity that a wine list expresses to the declination of wine as an ingredient in the kitchen. Marchesi Frescobaldi , which has been producing and exporting quality all over the world for seven centuries, collects, embodies and expresses all the values of a strongly Italian company with global horizons. From today we are honored to have Marchesi Frescobaldi in the Academy's family of partners, a partnership characterized by common values and far-sighted objectives".

Today Marchesi Frescobaldi, beyond the historicity and cultural value of a product rooted in the terroir in Tuscany, has extended the family estates and their vineyards over the centuries, recounting the diversity of territories and wines of the entire region. From Chianti Rufina, with the historic and centuries-old Tenuta del Castello Nipozzano, to Chianti Classico, from Montalcino to Castello Pomino, from Montepulciano to the Maremma and Bolgheri, reaching the island of Gorgona. All places where the individual wines reflect their terroirs and are a faithful expression of them by nature and authenticity.

“There is great respect for the work of Chef Niko Romito with whom we have always shared common themes such as sustainability, circularity and research: our philosophy is 'Cultivating Toscana Diversity', that is, best interpreting the territories in which we have our estates so that they can convey the uniqueness of the place of origin" - says Lamberto Frescobaldi - President Marchesi Frescobaldi, who continues - "Niko works on the same principles in every one of his dishes. We are sure that we will have a good journey together."

In addition to the value of research on wines, Marchesi Frescobaldi represents a unique opportunity for the students of the Academy to discover a sustainable and research company , attentive to environmental protection but also active in interesting social responsibility projects such as the Gorgona, the penitentiary island in the heart of the Tuscan Archipelago which hosts an open-air penal colony where inmates can move freely to work and learn new professions, until the end of their sentence
