“More than sparkling wines: a journey through Prosecco DOC and Asolo Prosecco DOCG”: the masterclass dedicated to English operators which aims to narrate the different expressions of the two Denominations.

The Consortia of the two Denominations will be the protagonists of the digital masterclass “More than sparkling wines: a journey through Prosecco DOC and Asolo Prosecco DOCG” scheduled for Monday 23 November , at 4.00 pm . Sommeliers, distributors and importers operating on the English market will take part in the tasting.
The event, led live from London by the Master of Wine Alistair Cooper , aims to explore the different expressions that characterize the two Appellations starting from the territory, from the history, from the production techniques. To taste the wines of five producers of Asolo Prosecco (Cantina Montelliana, Conte Loredan Gasparini, Montelvini, Val d'Oca, Villa Sandi) and five of Prosecco DOC (La Marca, Le Rughe, Masottina, Piera 1899, Ponte 1948).
"This London masterclass - explains Ugo Zamperoni , president of the Asolo Prosecco Consortium - certainly represents a precious opportunity to highlight some significant and specific facets of the Prosecco world, but, beyond the promotional aspects themselves, I am proud and happy that a common will has created the opportunity for a synergistic inter-consortium initiative, because there is still a common thread that historically unites our two denominations and that also binds us through many companies, which are producers of both Prosecco DOC, and Asolo Prosecco ".
“For some time - added Stefano Zanette , president of the Prosecco DOC Consortium - I have argued that our system should present itself as a magnificent choir, where different voices can be joined to propose pieces that, in terms of intensity and beauty, have no equal. For this reason, as Prosecco DOC, we have accepted Asolo Prosecco's proposal to create an event that, remaining in terms of music, we could define "four-handed", proposing them to share a masterclass aimed at operators from across the Channel ".
