" The gaps between the two samples are truly minimal, sometimes as small as a tenth ," commented Nicola Zanotelli, president of the Mostra Valle di Cembra Committee , "demonstrating just how high the overall quality of the competing wines is, and how it has continued to improve over the years. "After all, ours ," he continued, " isn't intended to be a competition to reward the best, but rather an opportunity to engage and work together to achieve excellence in a product with great potential, especially considering current trends in wines that are fresh, aromatic but never overpowering, highly drinkable, and moderate in alcohol content, ideal for both restaurants and as an aperitif."

The winning wines were the protagonists of a dedicated tasting and were particularly sought after by those who participated in the free tastings at Palazzo Maffei during all four days of the event.

Among the most popular wine events was the " Roccia e Sale " masterclass led by Giuseppe Carrus , dedicated to the importance of terroir in the glass. Thus, the first tasting featured two Müller Thurgaus from both extremes : the Cembrano from Cantina Toniolli and the Sicilian from Casa Vinicola Fazio; the second focused on flavor as a shared language between the 2025 Müller-Thurgau from Cantina Simoni (Cembra Valley) and the 2025 Grillo from Tenuta Whitaker, Tasca d'Almerita, on the island of Mozia. The element of time was then analyzed, with the 2022 Müller-Thurgau from Villa Corniole (Val di Cembra) and the 2022 Verdicchio di Matelica Vertis from Borgo Paglianetto, before moving on to the archetypes of tension , between the verticality of the mountains and the breadth of the sea, with the 2022 Riesling from Cantina Pelz (Val di Cembra) and the 2022 Vermentino di Gallura Superiore Pitraia Monogram from Gregu. Finally, two blends, to understand once again who can truly tell the story of a place, whether the variety or its interpretation , with the 2021 Zymbra from Cembra Cantina di Montagna and the 2021 Collio Bianco Jelka from Picech.

Also curious and engaging was the masterclass “ Questione di spirito ,” organized in collaboration with the Istituto Tutela Grappa del Trentino and the Strada del Vino e dei Sapori del Trentino, in which the participants – test tubes in hand and under the expert guidance of international bartender Leonardo Veronesi – experimented with making cocktails.
