The winners of the selection of the Rubino Mediceo 2014 wines have been announced: the best Chianti wines in Cerreto Guidi have been elected, during "A cena con Bacco", by chef Stefano Pinciaroli.

During Medicea 2014 – XLI Exhibition Market of DOCG Chianti wine, the Rubino Mediceo competition took place, a selection in which all companies from Tuscany could participate.

Rubino Mediceo aims to highlight the best wine production and to reward and further stimulate the efforts of wineries to improve the production quality.

The juries of Rubino Mediceo 2014

Wines participants were divided into 4 categories, they were tasted and judged by a twofold jury:

– a technical jury, consisting of oenologists, sommeliers and wine technicians,

– a people’s jury made up of citizens and enthusiasts interested in the tasting of the various wines in the competition.

In sensory analysis, every member of both committees revealed the visual, olfactory and taste features of each wine in order to make a judgment with an overall score.
