Chianti Classico is one of the "nominations" of the prestigious American magazine Wine Enthusiast as the Best Wine Region of the year 2014, in the company of four other prestigious winemaking areas: Champagne, Sonoma Coast (California), Red Mountain (Washington) and New York State.

The editors of the Bible of wine Wine Enthusiast award the winning realities in the world of wine production. The winners will be announced in December and celebrated in January in a special Gala dinner in New York.

Chianti Classico is in the nominations’ list for best wine region of the year because Wine Enthusiast recognizes to Gallo Nero a great renovation, a revolution on quality that resulted in products of the highest quality with incredible values, while investment in clonal research, vineyard management and marketing have created a renewed vitality in the entire production area.
