Appointment on Thursday 6 July for a day of insights on NoviAgri, the project promoted by the Barbera d'Asti and Monferrato Wines Consortium which aims to control diseases in the vineyard through the use of innovative technologies.

In fact, the commitment of the Barbera d'Asti and Vini del Monferrato Consortium is renewed which, also in 2023, will put the spotlight on NoviAgri, a project that has been involving the Consortium for some time and financed with Measure 16 Operation 16.1.1. of the RDP by the Piedmont Region. The initiative is now in full swing, with the start of the important field experimentation phase of the new sprayer with automatic distribution management, a prototype managed by the company Spezia Srl, custodian of the Tecnovict brand.
The atomizer , through sensors regulated by a vision and telecommunications system, will be able to manage, direct and interrupt the flows and the dispensing of plant protection product on the rows and on the leaves, limiting the dispersion on the ground or in the air to a minimum, thus producing a consequent saving of active substance and water.
The project, very innovative in its field, opens up a new frontier in terms of sustainability in viticulture. The sprayer will be presented, for the first time, at the Cascina Castlet vineyards in Costigliole d'Asti to winegrowers, technicians and the interested public on 6 July. The appointment will also be dedicated to discovering the results that point to the foliar recognition of flavescence dorée and wood black through the use of drones.
The day of 6 July will be dedicated to discovering the results of this experimentation and the progress made in the NoviAgri project. During the conference, researchers and experts will intervene including: Paolo Gay and Paolo Marucco of the University of Turin-DiSAFA Agricultural Mechanics, Giancarlo Spezia of Tecnovict-Spezia Srl, Paolo Mollo of CSP Innovation in ICT and the President of the Barbera d'Asti Consortium and Monferrato wines Vitaliano Maccario.
