Part of the proceeds from the event will go towards research and training projects.

VinNatur , The first association of natural winemakers in Italy renews its commitment to scientific research and the conscious growth of its members with the 21st edition of VinNatur Tasting , scheduled from 11 to 13 April at the Margraf showroom in Gambellara (Vicenza).

The event was also created to support the research and training projects of the organization led by Angiolino Maule, which has been engaged for years in technical research, training, and collaboration with universities and research centers. This approach is something VinNatur also intends to bring to the forefront of public debate : "It's time to call a defect by its name: volatile acidity, brettanomyces, oxidation, souris. Too often, these aromas are confused with terroir, but they are not," says President Angiolino Maule . "I started producing natural wine almost 40 years ago: at that time, we didn't know how to make consistently pleasant and balanced wines without the help of conventional oenology. Today, we have the knowledge and experience to do so; no excuses. There's still more to learn. This is why we continue to collaborate with the scientific community, with the aim of improving quality and supporting our members in bottling the best possible wines: we don't want wines without identity, but we don't want defects considered normal either."

VinNatur Tasting is a fair where craftsmanship and agriculture are at the center: the producer's hand, the work in the vineyard, and the terroir are essential elements. "Producers, I'm speaking directly to you," Maule continues, "please don't bring defective wines."

Strengthening this process, the masterclass "Microbiological Alterations of Wines" will take place on Saturday, April 11th at 11:00 a.m., led by agronomist Giacomo Buscioni and food technologist Damiano Barbato . The session will feature a blind tasting of specially modified white wines, with the aim of offering wine lovers concrete tools to recognize defects and distinguish them from what truly defines the wine's identity. Agronomists from Vitenova , a viticulture consulting firm, will also be present at the event, as will representatives from Food Micro Team , who will be available to producers and operators to foster a direct dialogue between agricultural practices, winemaking, and scientific research. VinNatur Tasting represents an opportunity to deepen one's knowledge of wine, thanks also to two additional masterclasses scheduled: Saturday, April 11th at 1:30 p.m. "A Pairing? A Question of Style (Introduction to the Vinology Method) with Alessandro Torcoli , journalist, sommelier, editor, and director of the historic magazine Civiltà del bere . Sunday, April 12 at 2:00 PM: The Multiplicity of Alsace with Samuel Cogliati, author, popularizer, and founder of Possibilia Editore .

The 21st edition of VinNatur Tasting , one of Europe's leading natural wine events, brings together 180 producers from six countries—Albania, Austria, France, Germany, Slovenia, and Spain—and 19 Italian regions for three days, along with industry professionals and enthusiasts. Over the course of three days, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the public will be able to meet the winemakers, sample a selection of culinary delights, and sample and purchase wines at tasting tables. The program will also include musical events on Saturday afternoon.

Tickets for entry and masterclasses are available on the event's official website or can be purchased on-site at the entrance to the event.
