The Padua brotherhood of passionate lovers of oenology and fine wine led by the President Francesco Peggiato, head and mentor of the Club Parliamo di?Vino, arranges for Friday, 4th October, an evening in honor of the harvest. The proscenium of the event will be the vineyards surrounding the agricultural company "Conte Emo Capodilista La Montecchia". Here, guests will be received for an aperitif before being delighted with the specialties prepared by Antica Tratoria Ballotta, that together with the emeritus members of the ?Confraternita Patavina del Baccalà alla Cappuccina?, harnessed with the historic uniforms, will let you know the secrets and the taste of this dish, accompanied also by croutons of Baccalà Mantecato with the granted permission of the equally famous ?Dogale Confraternita del Baccalà alla Veneziana?. After an aperitif, in the historic barns of the winery, there will be the opportunity to taste other dishes prepared for the evening by the ?Ballotta house?. That is, the typical "pasta e fasioi" in Venetian style, and to follow Baccalà with "Poenta Nova?, prepared with the traditional recipe "Alla Vicentina", with all due respect to the Brotherhood of the city of Palladio. Between the second course and the ?Zaeti" biscuits, that will conclude the evening along with other sweets of autumn, the histrionic writer Luisella Fogo will present her book of "Proverbi Veneti sull?ua e sul vin", involving the participants in a smart and pleasant way in an ideal journey through ?grapes of poetry and glasses of prose" of tradition and emotions that only the pleasure of feasting and wine can give. Needless to say, among the protagonists of exception of the evening there will be the great wines of "Montecchia", to taste and "understand" with the direct intervention of the producer, the Count Giordano Emo Capodilista. For those who have a little more time, he will be glad to act as a guide for a visit to the historic villa and the rural museum of La Montecchia at 6:15 pm. Places are limited and reservations should be made on time. The cost is Euro 40 for non-members and Euro 35 for those who already own a card that, possibly, can be required in the occasion of the event with the validity of one year at the cost of Euro 5.
