Crédit Agricole Italia has signed an innovative collaboration agreement with the Morellino di Scansano Consortium, born in 1992 to support and enhance its Controlled Designation of Origin product, which will allow companies in the wine sector to activate the Revolving Pledge.

The agreement, signed by Bernardo Guicciardini Calamai , President of the Morellino di Scansano Consortium and by Massimo Cerbai, Head of the Tuscan Regional Directorate of Crédit Agricole Italia , provides for the possibility of granting a credit based on the market values of PDO and PGI wine in stock, subject to certification of existence.

The objective is to favor the economic development of the territory in a logic of strengthening and consolidation of the local productive fabric and of collaboration between farms, local authorities and the banking system. Specifically, the facility consists of an opening of credit, which can be used in one or more solutions, against the contextual pledge of the envisaged types of PDO and PGI products.

Therefore, the commitment of Crédit Agricole Italia continues to favor the activation of the revolving pledge, after the agreements reached in recent months with the Consorzio dei Vini di Bolgheri, with the Consortium for the Protection of Valpolicella Wines, the Consortium for the protection of Franciacorta and with the Consortium for the Protection of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.

" As Crédit Agricole Italia we are particularly proud of the agreement with the Morellino di Scansano Consortium because it testifies not only to the bank's willingness to act as a reference partner for companies in the wine sector but also to the attention to the entire sector, with innovative solutions such as the enhancement of the DOP wines of the companies belonging to the Consortium, at the level of the product already bottled and possibly certified, through a detailed study on the positioning of the wines and above all of the Morellino di Scansano brand. I also want to thank Ranieri Moris - Vice President of the Consortium, within the Tuscan Territorial Committee of Crédit Agricole Italia, promoted innovative ideas for the world of wine and contributed to the construction and improvement of this type of agreement ", declares the Head of the Regional Management Tuscany Massimo Cerbai .

" We have found in Crédit Agricole Italia an important and concrete partner, who, like us, believes that sustainability and technological development aimed at greater efficiency in production processes represent an essential path for the future of the denomination. We are studying together a series of initiatives that are of support not only to the wine world but also to the whole territory of the Morellino di Scansano DOCG appellation ", said Bernardo Guicciardini Calamai, President of the Morellino di Scansano Consortium .

" We have concluded a further agreement with an important Consortium that is particularly active in the enhancement of its products, but also of the territory in which it operates, through the launch of a particularly interesting sustainability project. We will try to manage the agreement in the best possible way, to ensure a concrete financial support to the Consortium and to all its Associates ", concluded Stefano Berni, Agro Banca d'Impresa Coordinator of Crédit Agricole Italia .
