Gabriella Favara is the new president of Assovini Sicilia

There's a change at the top of Assovini Sicilia: Gabriella Favara is the new president of the association that brings together one hundred Sicilian wineries and the newly elected Board of Directors, entirely represented by the under-40s of the Generazione Next group: Graziano Nicosia, Costante Planeta, Cristina Madaudo, Pietro Pollara, Alessandro Tasca, Enrica Spadafora, Totò Navarra, and Pierfilippo Marchello.
Appointed at the new Board of Directors' meeting on Monday, July 6th, Gabriella Favara, under 30 and from Marsala, International Marketing Manager for the family business Donnafugata, joined the company four years ago after graduating in Business Administration and earning a Master's in Business Management from Oxford. After several corporate experiences in trade marketing, Gabriella Favara returns to Sicily to manage Donnafugata's international markets.
"It's a great thrill for me to take on this role and to be able to share this journey with my Generation Next teammates. The idea of being able to continue to breathe life into this association together, with a young voice that is hungry for change and innovation, is a powerful one.
It will certainly be a great challenge that will give us the opportunity to contribute by inaugurating a new direction, without questioning the values of this association. Our goal is to increasingly listen to market needs, to keep pace with changes, and also to be highly responsive and proactive in identifying opportunities in the sector. We want to further elevate Sicily, which, with Assovini, represents an exemplary example of associationism capable of promoting an important sector like wine and working as a team,” commented the new president , Gabriella Favara.
