Cantine Settesoli obtains a tax license for its dealcoholization process . The cooperative, based in Menfi (Agrigento), is the first Sicilian company to receive approval for the production of no- and low-alcohol beverages from the Customs Agency of Porto Empedocle (Agrigento).
Cantine Settesoli already has the appropriate equipment for processing low-alcohol wines through vacuum evaporation , a procedure that preserves the organoleptic profile of the original wine while leaving aromas and fragrances intact, allowing for a precise reduction in the alcohol level.
The certification obtained thus allows us to respond to market demands, where low-alcohol products are increasingly appreciated, especially by the new generations, who are careful about their alcohol consumption.
"Innovation, research, and experimentation have always been fundamental strategic assets for Cantine Settesoli," stated President Giuseppe Bursi . "Being the first in Sicily to obtain a license to produce alcohol-free beverages demonstrates once again our ability to interpret the present to plan for the future. In an unfavorable economic climate like the one currently affecting the wine industry, and with climate change looming, opening new avenues and markets means being able to look to the future with confidence and breathe new life into the sector. We already have a functioning plant and the first orders for foreign markets: we will therefore continue to innovate, seek new strategies, and create products to meet consumer needs and promote Sicily and the Menfi area to the world."
