Valle d'Aosta: poor harvest, Cantine Aperte cancelled

The bad weather of 2024 has severely compromised wine production in the Aosta Valley. Due to low yields, Cantine Aperte will not be held in the region this year. “We have decided to take a break to reflect,” explains Stefano Celi of the Movimento Turismo del Vino. The shortage affects the entire region, especially the central Valley. “The excessive rainfall has nullified two years of drought,” comments André Gerbore , vice president of the Consorzio Vini Valle d'Aosta.
