Innovation & Research
Italy and France together for underwater wine: the Tiramisu project is born
Wine maturation at the bottom of the sea: this is the challenge of Tiramisu , a cross-border project that unites Tuscany and the French Riviera. The bottles, immersed in the sea between Scarlino (GR) and the French coast, mature in pristine environments, exploiting pressure, light and temperature as new natural variables. With 1.9 million euros from the Interreg Italia-France Marittimo 2021–2027 Programme, universities and research centres aim to perfect a technique already tested in the Mediterranean.
Social & Regenerative Agriculture
From the sea to the mountains: the new agricultural model that revives the valleys
In Piedmont and Liguria, projects such as Comunità Cresco , Reis-Cibo libero di montagna or Valleponci bring mountain territories back to life. Agriculture, cooking and hospitality merge into sustainable entrepreneurial experiences that valorise food as a common good, fight depopulation and promote authentic human relationships.
Solidarity Wine
Vitae Rosso e Bianco: the wine from Friuli that becomes water for Africa
Thanks to the initiative Let's Cut the Thirst FVG , also in 2025 solidarity wine supports humanitarian missions in Kenya and Uganda. Twenty Friulian wineries (and not only) donate selected wines, whose proceeds finance the construction of wells for drinking water. An ethical project of great human value, born in 2007 and grown over time.
Events & Wine Culture

The event, promoted by QN La Nazione and Il Resto del Carlino , will host the Federation of Wine, Oil and Flavors Roads of Tuscany , with workshops and tastings. Particular attention to the role of Women in the Field and the future of agriculture 4.0.

The first edition of the event at the De Gasperi social winery combined tastings, promotion of safety at the table (Heimlich maneuver) and local culture. A party for all ages, with artists, DJs and local companies.
Campania Stories 2025: Whites conquer the scene
150 white wines (including 7 sparkling wines) will be the protagonists of the technical tastings. But the real heart of the event are the visits to the cellars between Vesuvius and Campania, where the producers will tell their story, between passion and daily challenges.
Wine Economy
Vineyard Values on the Rise: North East at the Top
According to Mediobanca, the average value of vineyard land in Italy reached 58,100 euros/ha in 2023. Trentino-Alto Adige holds the record: up to 900,000 euros/ha for some DOC areas. The rise is driven by high-quality wines and the affirmation of the classic method.
UIV proposes annual ban on new plants
To contain the excessive growth of the Italian vineyard (currently 1% per year, equal to 6,500 hectares), the Italian Wine Union proposes a moratorium on new authorizations. Objective: to readjust the production potential to the global decline in demand.
