Unionbirrai already sold out the first online tasting course

The seats for the first entirely online beer tasting course in Italy organized by Unionbirrai are sold out in a few hours . The test lesson on the newly formed UB Academy learning platform is scheduled for Thursday 21 May 2020 . This will be followed by the actual course with ten lectures in webinar mode dedicated to the brewing world and beer tasting. The kit of 40 bottles , mini Teku glasses branded UB and necessary teaching materials will be delivered directly to home to all members. "The online training through the UB Academy began in April with refresher courses dedicated to members and in-depth studies for the first semester students, who saw the postponement of the lessons due to the health emergency - explains Simone Monetti , Unionbirrai National Secretary - We have therefore thought of transforming this difficult moment into an opportunity for all those who want to approach the brewing world, proposing a completely new educational offer in the Italian panorama and, given the success, we are already thinking about new online courses for the next months . " The webinar mode will allow members to participate in video lessons as they were in the classroom, with the possibility of asking for information and interacting with Unionbirrai teachers. The lessons will have evening hours from 9.00 pm and will be divided into two modules. The first part of the course will deal with the history of beer, raw materials and production, as well as the role of Unionbirrai in the Italian brewing scene. The second module will focus instead on the geography of beer, on tasting and on service, to end with an evening dedicated to pairing with food.
