THE RABOSO PIAVE IGT VENETO OF THE NEW LINE THAT MINIMIZES THE IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT GOES ON THE PODIUM IN THE EVENT THAT REWARDS THE COMMITMENT OF COMPANIES THAT INVEST IN CREATIVITY and SUSTAINABLE DESIGN

Prestigious recognition for what from the beginning presented itself as a project in the world of wine destined to make people talk about itself. The Raboso IGT Veneto "BACK TO BASIC" , from Cantina Pizzolato , a Treviso-based winery specialized in the production of organic and vegan wines since 1991, wins the GOLDEN LABEL in the category "Still red wines with designation of origin and geographical indication of the vintages 2020 and 2019 " in the context of the 25th edition of Vinitaly Design International Packaging Competition 2021. " This award rewards the commitment spent in this project that I have personally followed and that I had in my drawer for some time. BACK TO BASIC - comments Sabrina Rodelli, export manager of the winery - represents 100% the evolutionary path we have taken in recent years. Years in which we have listened to consumers who, increasingly aware, ask us for products that give concrete form to the principles of environmental sustainability, recycling and reuse of materials and reduction of environmental impact. As a winery we are called to do our part and we have found partners who have decided to enthusiastically embrace this supply chain project by proposing or even specifically creating their most sustainable product ". "The Vinitaly Design International Packaging Competition represents an event recognized nationally and internationally and, as a designer - comments Stefano Torregrossa, art director of O'Nice Design - obtaining this prestigious award represents for me a personal and professional satisfaction, linked not only to a single label but to an entire sustainable project that I followed with great dedication, together with Sabrina, to make it real. To date it is significant to see that even the international eye of the wine market gives due recognition to projects that do not only look at the aesthetics, the visual side of the design itself or the thousands of processes behind complex labels which, on the contrary, are composed of a more minimal design quality being already loaded with messages related to attention to the environment and the sustainability of materials used of which they are composed ". An important and long-awaited award that celebrates the innovative philosophy that inspires the packaging of an entire line of organic wines: respect for the environment, sustainable development, social responsibility and sharing commitments with its suppliers in a single 100% green product whose declared objective is to minimize the impact of the wine supply chain on the environment . Evaluated and awarded by an international jury of designers, art-directors and journalists, the BACK TO BASIC label stood out for its low environmental impact. In fact, the label, in Sabrage paper, 100% recycled and obtained from waste from the processing of the cotton industry, does not contain plastics or other materials of unnatural origin. It takes up as little space on the bottle as possible, and is a single piece that wraps in order to reduce the amount of glue. Furthermore, the debossing technique minimizes the use of inks which is less than 1% and, in the mandatory parts, the color is engraved with offset processing, that is the least impacting processing. But BACK TO BASIC is a project that involves the concept of sustainability at 360 °: all the wines of this line in fact go far beyond the organic philosophy and involve the entire packaging chain made up of eco elements: WINE , whose certified grapes organic and vegan come from the vineyards of the Pizzolato farm; GLASS , the wild glass, made up of 94% recycled glass; the CAP entirely made of cork, a 100% ecological and sustainable material, natural, recyclable and reusable that allows to compensate for a CO₂ level equal to 297 grams; the LABEL , described above and finally also the CARDBOARD PACKAGING , which has 79% recycled paper. BACK TO BASIC is a project deliberately born in the fortieth year of activity of the winery that celebrates by embracing the concept of "basic" intended as a celebration of the essential and identity values of the company.
