On November 24th, the excellence of southeastern Sicily's red wines will be coming to Milan with " Sicilian Style: Red Wines of the Future," the flagship event organized by the Enoteca Regionale della Sicilia , the South East branch . The day, designed to outline the future prospects of the island's winemaking, will be entirely dedicated to the region's red wines, particularly two key players: Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG and Frappato. The event, held at the prestigious venue of The Westin Palace , is supported by the Consortium for the Protection of Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG and the Strada del Vino.
Following the success of its Rome event last May, the Enoteca is bringing the format back to Milan as a crucial meeting and discussion opportunity for the press, industry professionals, and the wine-loving public.
"We are thrilled to bring to Milan, the beating heart of Italian wine communication and innovation, an event that for us represents a true manifesto: 'Sicilian Style: the Red Wines of the Future'. It will not be a simple tasting," says Silvio Balloni , president of the Enoteca Regionale della Sicilia, the South East branch, "but an intense day of discussion dedicated entirely to the excellence of Sicilian wines, with a special focus on our extraordinary South East."
President Balloni emphasizes the initiative's goal: "We want to boldly outline the future prospects of our island's winemaking, bringing together the experience of producers, the vision of the trade press, and the passion of wine lovers . Sicily is a unique land, whose diverse soil and climate conditions and diverse winemaking approaches create wines with a modern character while maintaining a profound respect for tradition. This is an opportunity to share how this tradition is evolving, changing, and maturing thanks to the new generations. They bring innovation while remaining faithful to the roots that gave birth to Sicily's only DOCG. The future of Italian winemaking lies in our island and its southeast region, and we are ready to demonstrate this in Milan."
