LAMBRUSCO IN THE LIGHT

3 May 2023, Mantua Chamber of Commerce . The Lambrusco Press Conference at the Palazzo opened the ball, or rather uncorked the bottles, towards the eighth edition of this event made up of bubbles and shades of red. The conference inaugurated the event with a morning of reflections on this wine which has many facets and drinking opportunities . This edition of Lambrusco a Palazzo professes a love for the excellent Lambrusco wines from Mantua, Modena, Parma and Reggio who still have so much to tell .

Lambrusco a Palazzo is a unique event of its kind which will welcome, on 6 and 7 May 2023 , as many as 50 wineries from the four production provinces in a context of equal artistic, historical and touristic value: the Polirone di San Benedetto Abbey Po (MN) . Vanessa Morandi , the Councilor for Tourism of the Municipality of San Benedetto Po, underlined the importance of this event for the territory and the centrality of the Abbey in the promotion of food and wine and cultural excellence.

ONAV Mantova, Modena, Parma and Reggio Emilia , together with La Strada del Vino e dei Sapori Mantovani , in agreement with the Municipality, intend to pay homage to Lambrusco in all its nuances and diversity. Matteo Battisti , ONAV Mantova delegate, during the press conference, insisted on the often forgotten value of this particularly eclectic wine. In addition, the ONAV expert tasters will be present during the event and will explain in a simple way everything that Lambrusco wants to communicate.

New to the current edition is the Indigenous area dedicated to organic Lambrusco obtained from the action of spontaneous native yeasts , an ode to the naturalness of this wine which also indulges in the very topical issues of economic and environmental sustainability. Naturalness and simplicity are emphasized by Gianni Boselli and Federico Patera , respectively President and Director of the Strada dei Vini e dei Sapori Mantovani, intrinsic characteristics of this wine that reflects four provinces united in the promotion and enhancement of Lambrusco.

During the event it will also be possible to combine this extremely territorial wine with a local gastronomic excellence, the salami cooked under the ashes of San Benedetto Po , thanks to the collaboration with the Pro Loco Teofilo Folengo, as well as another gastronomic gem all over San Benedetto .

The event will also be held in case of bad weather.
