The original copper bottle is made with an exclusive metallization process, thanks to which the copper color becomes an integral part of the external surface of the glass. Bottega has been expanding its range of distillates for five years, entering the gin market. The Treviso-based company has therefore bet on the potential of this product which, thanks to Gin and Tonic and mixed drinks in general, has become a cornerstone of consumption in the main trendy clubs. Bottega boasts a three-generation tradition in the field of grappa distillation. The introduction of some technological innovations, such as vacuum distillation, the reduction of the alcohol content and the use of a third passage in a demethylating column, have always given a new vitality to our flagship brandy, always in the name of tradition. The same production philosophy has also been extended to gin and has resulted in the creation of a soft and highly aromatic distillate. Gin Bacûr Bottega is a Distilled Dry Gin, which develops an alcohol content of 40% vol. It is characterized by the use of botanicals of certified origin: juniper berries (Tuscany), sage (Veneto) and lemon peel (Sicily). Its quality and complexity depend not only on the number of plants, but also on the extraction conditions of the aromatic components of each of them. It is suitable for preparing cocktails of various types, including the timeless Gin Tonic. This is the recipe: 40 ml Gin Bacûr, 80 ml tonic water, half a slice of lemon, juniper berries (or sage or mint), ice cubes. Preparation. Cool the glass. Pour Gin Bacûr. Add ice, a lemon wedge, juniper berries, a sage or mint leaf, tonic water. Mix well before serving. The term Bacûr, of pre-Hellenic derivation, was formerly used to indicate copper. The retail price of Gin Bacûr Bottega 50 cl is around 24 euros. It is also available in a 70 cl bottle, a liter bottle, a 5 cl mignon bottle and a 10 cl spray version.
