The Roncà-based company supports the candidacy for the Valley's World Heritage Site with its Lessini Durello DOC Extra Brut

Giannitessari supports the UNESCO candidacy of Val d'Alpone . For each bottle of Lessini Durello DOC Extra Brut purchased in its store, the Roncà (Verona) winery will donate part of the proceeds to the Temporary Association of Purpose (ATS) - Val d'Alpone, Faune, Flore and Rocce del Cenozoico . Last to the east of Verona, on the border with the province of Vicenza, the Val d'Alpone is a candidate to become a naturalistic World Heritage site for the fossil treasures it holds inside. These are artifacts preserved for 50 million years that the ATS - Val d'Alpone aims to discover, enhance and share with the whole world. The initiative was born between 2011 and 2014 during the excavation work on the remains of the Terrossa Castle in the municipality of Roncà carried out by the University of Verona in collaboration with the municipal administration and the Amici del Castello Association. "Discussing the peculiarities offered by these territories - explains Giamberto Bochese , president of the ATS - Val d'Alpone - we agreed that the fossil finds preserved in the Val d'Alpone and the upper Valle del Chiampo had the characteristics of uniqueness and exceptional value requested by UNESCO in order to be able to consider them heritage of universal interest ". “Through this initiative - explains Gianni Tessari - we want to enhance the uniqueness of the cultural and natural resources of the Val d'Alpone. A valley that we feel deeply ours : here are the vineyards of Lessini Durello and our wines come to life, rich in that minerality and character that only a territory so unique of its kind can convey. For this reason we will donate part of the proceeds of our Lessini Durello DOC Extra Brut to a cause that is close to our hearts and that we are proud to concretely support ”. The limited edition of Lessini Durello DOC Extra Brut by Giannitessari , which recently won the Corona in the Guide to Vini Buoni d'Italia 2022 , is on sale in the cellar until December at a cost of around 30 euros; a special plate applied to the neck of the bottle identifies its beneficial intent.
