Two extraordinary works of art - a film and a musical composition - return to revive, on the seventh centenary of his death, the enchantment and mystery of the Divine Comedy. Hell is a silent film made in 1911 by Francesco Bertolini, Giuseppe De Liguoro and Adolfo Padovan which had, in the pioneering years of cinema, an extraordinary success in Italy and abroad. "The divine comedy: dramatic-musical illustrations for four-handed piano" is instead a refined, vigorous and romantic composition by Cesare San Fiorenzo (Genoa 1833-1909). The multimedia project combines the two forms of art in a recital that combines the images taken from the recently restored film and the live execution of pages, rarely performed, taken from the work of San Fiorenzo.
