Chiaretto di Bardolino: Fabio Dei Micheli elected President of the Consortium

Fabio Dei Micheli is the new President of the Consortium for the protection of Chiaretto and Bardolino . 45 years old, winemaker graduated from the Agricultural Institute of San Michele all'Adige (Trento), he is the owner together with his sister Serena of the family farm and is actively involved in the Bardolino supply chain. Before accessing the presidential office, he held the role of adviser within the Consortium for three terms. Dei Micheli, who will remain in office for three years , was elected during the board of directors meeting held on Tuesday 28 March 2023. Three vice-presidents support him in his office: Alberto Marchisio, Davide Ronca and Fausto Zeni. The renewed board is composed by Alessandro Bianchi, Mario Boni, Marica Bonomo, Roberta Bricolo, Piergiuseppe Crestani, Claudio Lenotti, Giannantonio Marconi, Luca Oliosi, Agostino Rizzardi, Luca Sartori, Marco Zanoni. Enrico Gentili, Lucio Salier and Lorenzo Mario Sartori, who is also its Chairman, are members of the Board of Statutory Auditors. Nicola Bonfante and Massimo Brutti instead have the role of substitutes. “We are starting this new mandate – explains Dei Micheli – under the banner of responsibility towards the entire Bardolino supply chain . The newly elected council effectively represents all the souls and above all the energy that these companies want to invest in the denomination and promotion of the Bardolino and Chiaretto di Bardolino wines. This is also demonstrated by the return to the board of some of the historical realities of the Classica area, as well as the new entry as advisers of some of the female entrepreneurs most involved in the production of quality wines. The path we will take during these three years will continue the fruitful work done by President Franco Cristoforetti, whom I take this opportunity to thank, in promoting Chiaretto and the Montebaldo, La Rocca and Sommacampagna sub-zones. However, we will have to address very important issues today, such as sustainability , and guide the denomination in a continuous growth of qualitative recognition by the consumer". The first appointment on the calendar for the newly elected President and for the Board is Vinitaly , from 2 to 5 April in Verona. At the consortium stand (Hall 4 – Stand D1) it will be possible to taste the new vintage of Chiaretto di Bardolino, the district Bardolinos and the Bardolino Classico.
