The Republic of Moldova will participate in BIT Milan 2026 , scheduled from Tuesday 10th to Thursday 12th February in Fiera Milano Rho , with an institutional stand in Hall 9, Stands C13–C15 . At the stand, visitors will be able to taste Moldovan wines and traditional products and meet the country's leading tourism operators. Tour operators such as Tatrabis, Caztur, and Corina Travel, establishments such as Castel Mimi Wine Resort and Guest House AIVEA, the National Association of Incoming Tour Operators (ANTRIM), the capital's tourism promotion agency, Visit Chisinau, and the National Tourism Office of Moldova, coordinating the institutional presence, will be represented by Ana Sandra , interim director, and Mtvarisa Luchian , head of the marketing department.
Moldova is a country capable of enchanting visitors with its evocative landscapes, rich heritage, history, craftsmanship, and culture. Idyllic agritourism farms and wineries, both small family-run businesses and large wineries with prestigious collections, offer a wide range of accommodations, attractions, and activities, creating a coherent and constantly evolving tourism offering. Ana Sandra , interim director of the National Tourism Office , emphasizes: "Fluid collaboration between public institutions, associations, medical tourism operators, tour operators, and accommodation providers is essential to jointly building a positive experience for visitors to Moldova. This is why representatives from all these categories are present at our stand at BIT Milan."
The tourism offering is aimed specifically at travelers interested in experiences away from mass tourism, based on slow travel, authenticity, and sustainability , ranging from wine tourism to agritourism, from cultural city breaks to rural village experiences. The Moldovan wine routes , part of the European Iter Vitis network, cross over 1,500 km of wine-growing regions, showcasing indigenous grape varieties and high-quality wine tourism. The rich annual calendar of events , spread across various locations across the country, includes the Descoperă music festival, which offers an open-air classical music program in the evocative setting of the scenic and archaeological site of Old Orhei.
Chisinau , the ideal capital for a weekend getaway, is also increasingly central: a welcoming city with abundant greenery, 19th-century architecture, museums, restaurants, wine bars, and internationally renowned events such as National Wine Day, celebrated annually on the first weekend in October. The city also stands out as an emerging hub for business tourism thanks to its numerous air connections and high-quality services. The Moldovan capital is connected to Italy by direct flights (approximately two hours) from ten airports : Venice, Verona, Bergamo, Milan Malpensa, Turin, Parma, Bologna, Rome Fiumicino, Naples, and Bari.
Alongside leisure and business tourism , Moldova is also steadily developing medical tourism , particularly in the fields of dentistry, cosmetic surgery and reproductive medicine, thanks to the national association dedicated to this sector, which brings together private clinics, hospitals, international transport companies, facilitators and tour operators.
Participation in BIT Milan represents an opportunity for the Italian market to discover an emerging, authentic and still little-explored destination , capable of offering quality experiences in a pristine natural and cultural context.
